Summary The Department of Pharmacology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona invites applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to study the molecular mechanisms driving pancreatic cancer progression and to develop novel therapeutic strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record during their graduate training and the ability to work independently on multidisciplinary projects in a collaborative research environment. Job Duties - Independently design and conduct biochemical and cellular assays - Work with various genetic and xenograft mouse models - Analyze large proteomic datasets - Contribute to manuscript preparation and publication - Present research findings at lab meetings, departmental seminars, and conferences Minimum Qualifications - Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, or related fields. - No prior postdoctoral experience required Preferred Qualifications - Strong publication record from graduate research - Extensive experience in cancer biology, cell biology, and/or vascular biology - Background in cellular metabolism including mitochondrial dynamics - Hands-on experience with various genetic and xenograft mouse models - Prior experience writing and submitting graduate student fellowship applications
